Fungi in air and on wooden constructions of old historical building
(2016) Perebynos, Alona; Kryvomaz, Tetyana; Сhuyenko, Andriy
In this research the microfungi biodestruction of wooden constructions in the historical building was analyzed. Since the main artifacts in the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine "Pyrogovo" are built of wood, they are extremely vulnerable to the action of biological agents, especially microfungi. 20 samples of building constructions and 8 air samples have been collected inside and outside the studied house. In total, 11 species and genus (35 specimens) of microfungi were identified from 20 samples of building constructions of the studied house. 25 fungi specimens belonging to 6 species (Aspergillus niger, Alternaria tenuissima, Chaetomium globosum, Mycelia sterilia, Stachybotrys chartarum, Trichoderma viride) and 4 fungi which was possible identified only to genus Acremonium, Fusarium, Mocladium and Penicillium were found on wood walls.

Biological deterioration of wooden structures of the Bialystok open-air museum
    (2017) Perebynos, Alona; Kryvomaz, Tetyana
The preliminary survey of the biodeterioration in the Bialystok open-air museum (Poland) shows that wooden buildings are in good condition and 92% of historical and architectural constructions were estimated to the second category of technical state. Buildings were examined to identify kinds of biological agents. The main biodeteriorations of wooden constructions were made by insects, lichens, algae films and colonies of microfungi. The comparison of the biodeterioration impact was made for the Bialystok open air museum and the skansen "Pyrogovo" (Ukraine). The probability of germination on the wooden structures of some species of fungi has been calculated taking into account the temperature conditions of the north-eastern region of Poland.

The house of village Samary from Volyn region, which is the most ancient artifact in the museum, was examined to identify the fungi spectrum on the wood and in the air. The most abundant species of the Samary house on the construction substratum were Aspergillus niger and Alternaria tenuissima, in the air - Aspergillus flavus, A. repens, A. niger and Alternaria tenuissima.

Impact of the biodestruction on wooden buildings of the Bialystok open air museum
    (2018) Perebynos, Alona; Kryvomaz, Tetyana
The article describes the state of the buildings of the Bialystok open air museum (Poland). The preliminary survey of biodestruction in the Bialystok open air museum shows that wooden buildings are in good condition and 92% of historical and architectural constructions were estimated to the second category of technical state. Buildings were examined to identify kinds of biological agents by using an algorithm of the monitoring of historical monuments. The main biodestructions of wooden constructions was made by insects, lichens, algae films and colonies of microfungi. In the article a comparison of biodestruction impact was made for Bialystok and skansen «Pyrogovo» (Ukraine). Entomological damage prevails among biodestructions of wooden elements of historical and architectural structures both in the Bialystok skansen and in the «Pyrogovo».

Monitoring algorithm of mycodestruction of historical and architectural wooden structures
    (2017) Perebynos, Alona
Wooden historical and architectural constructions are particularly vulnerable to the aging process and the degradation under the influence of environmental factors, due to the relative fragility of the material. Mycological damage is one of the most common and dangerous factors causing the destruction of wooden structures. In this regard, in this article, introduction of mycodamage monitoring of wood architectural monuments, as part of an integrated system of supervision for the historical values, is proposed. Detailed monitoring algorithm for the early detection of biological damage and assess its destructive action is developed by adapting the principles of environmental monitoring to the problem of mycodestruction of building structures. A primary schema of integrated evaluation system of damages as a result of the analysis of existing regulations in the area of restoration of monuments of cultural heritage is represented.
