Improvement of the safety of multi-floor housing
    (IOP Publishing, 2020-08-25) Tkachenko, T.; Mileikovskyi, V.; Dziubenko, V.; Tkachenko, O.
To improve the safety in common areas of multi-storey buildings (lift halls, common corridors), it is proposed to renovate interiors of the areas. Such areas usually have no permanent ventilation. Thus, they can accumulate pathogenic microorganisms and viruses. The effective solution for reducing the danger is phytoncides plants. For successful phytodesign, an assortment of phytoncides plants of 11 species has been developed: Aspidistra elatior, Aglaonema “Silver queen”, Aglaonema “Maria”, Chlorophytum comosum, Chlorophytum capense, Dracena marginata, Monstera deliciosa, Philodendron scandens, Sansevieria triaeffieria trichelifera, Zamiaculcas zamiifolia. The offered assortment completely corresponds to climatic features of premises. For the normal growth and development of plants in the absence of natural light, three options for additional effective illumination are proposed.

Research of Cooling Effect of Vegetation Layer of Green Structures in Construction
    (RS Global, 2017-07) Tkachenko, T.; Mileikovskyi, V
Energy efficiency of construction can be improved by green structures combined with living plants. Cooling effect can decrease the refrigeration load on air conditioning or cooling systems. Nevertheless, there is no academic definition of it. We propose defining this effect as temperature drop by transpiration cooling because of evapotranspiration. The results of researches in wind tunnel provide the recommendation about boosting the air flow in refrigeration period, throttling it at spring and autumn if the grass is mowed or boosting the flow if the grass is not mowed but taking in mind problems with some opened corners.

The Role of “Green Structures” in Reducing the Environmental Footprint of Urbocenoses
    (2018) Tkachenko, T.; Voloshkina, O.
The modern problem of urbocenoses is associated with an increase of the environmental footprint, the main indicator of which is the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. One of the ways to reduce carbon emissions is to increase biomass through the «green structures». Nowadays, there are insufficient methods for calculating the accumulation of biomass and sequestration of CO2. As a result, new methodological approaches are proposed.

“Green structures” as a tool for reducing the environmental risks of urban ecosystems
    (2019) Tkachenko, T.; Voloshkina, O.
Modern urbocenosis is an unstable artificial ecosystem. Under the influence of natural and man-made factors, urbocenoses are subject of environmental, economic and social risks. Optimal using and restoration of natural areas is one of the ways to reduce the risks of urbocenoses, a way to increase their stability and sustainable development.

Risk of atmospheric air pollution by formaldehyde in urban areas from motor venicles
    (2019) Voloshkina, O.; Sipakov, R.; Tkachenko, T.; Zhukova, O.
The work is devoted to the issue of risk management for the health of the population in urban areas in case of atmospheric air pollution by motor transport. In this study, the level of risk is determined on the basis of concentrations of formaldehyde molecules, which are formed as secondary air pollution as a result of photochemical transformations in the air under steady meteorological conditions. In the estimation of the amount of hydrocarbon emissions from road transport, which is simultaneously at the traffic junction, a mathematical model which is based on the theory of a convective jet on a warm surface and which allows obtaining parameters of the contaminated dome of air formed over this area was used. The proposed risk management scenario allows searching for optimal managerial decisions at the municipal level for a number of scientific and practical tasks of the city in shaping its environmental policy.
