V.The article is reviewing the practice of designing and functional organization of the space in libraries and media libraries based on the world experience. The article is researching questions of architectural and planning principles and techniques used in modern media centers. After analyzing the foreign experience of forming architectural and planning decisions of public libraries, the basic principles and methods of solving the formation are identified, namely: the combination of various functions in a continuous space, the connection with the environment, the use of sunny lighting, the transformation and zoning of space, rethinking of traditional library planning. The article is devoted to the concept of “public space” and the peculiarities of its formation in the space-planning structure of educational institutions. The article analyzed various types of institutions. The relevance of this topic can be explained by the modern tendency to abandon modernist values in an attempt to renew and diversify social life by creating comfortable and high-quality spaces for people, not just creating infrastructure and architecture to meet their basic needs. Public spaces in the structure of educational institutions play an important role, since a significant percentage of the population spends time at this or that stage of life there. As a rule, these are young people; therefore, an architect, through competent design, can influence the habits of the further formation of social ties among the younger generation.Документ Прийоми зонування багатофункціонального центру активного відпочинку(КНУБА, 2019) Гайдуков, Є. Розглянуто світовий досвід проектування і особливості формування аналогічних за функцією центрів в Європі і США. На основі аналізу були виявлені загальні схеми розташування функціональних блоків (цілісна, лінійна, багаторівнева), характерні і загальні особливості аналогових центрів. Розглянуто особливості кожної функціональної зони та їх розташування відносно один одного. На основі отриманих даних виявлено основні принципи зонування багатофункціональних центрів активного відпочинку. This article is devoted to the study of the functional zoning principles of activity centers in the urban environment.
