    Стаття присвячена поняттю «суспільний простір» і особливостям його формування в об'ємно-планувальній структурі освітніх установ. У статті проаналізовані різні типи установ. На основі аналізу, сформовані основні формотворчі чинники в залежності від призначення та типу будинку. Також, виділені найбільш характерні функціональні особливості, властиві громадським просторам і як наслідок - сформовані основні характеристики «точок тяжіння». The article is devoted to the concept of “public space” and the peculiarities of its formation in the space-planning structure of educational institutions. The article analyzed various types of institutions. The relevance of this topic can be explained by the modern tendency to abandon modernist values in an attempt to renew and diversify social life by creating comfortable and high-quality spaces for people, not just creating infrastructure and architecture to meet their basic needs. Public spaces in the structure of educational institutions play an important role, since a significant percentage of the population spends time at this or that stage of life there. As a rule, these are young people; therefore, an architect, through competent design, can influence the habits of the further formation of social ties among the younger generation.
