Актуальні питання здійснення судово-експертної діяльності в умовах воєнного стану

Abstract

Scientists and experts of forensic research institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine have been proving to the whole world for eleven months that it is possible to organize forensic expert activities even during war. An exceptionally difficult and responsible moment in the development of modern legal relations in the field of forensic examination has come. The demand for conducting certain types of forensic examinations has increased. As a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the expert community faces new challenges every day, which consist, in particular, in the need to record a significant number of destroyed (damaged) objects of movable and immovable property and calculate the amount of material damage caused to property owners (both state, as well as private ones) by illegal actions of the invaders – artillery shelling, bombings, rocket attacks, etc. It is necessary to make the system of judicial and expert activity of Ukraine even stronger, effective and modern, enriching the acquired experience of European institutions working in this field, while at the same time introducing the achievements of foreign judiciary, expertology and criminology into their own practical activities.
